Biography

The first lady of Epic/Darkchild is Rhona Bennett and she is the prodigy of studio genius Rodney Jerkins, founder of Darkchild Records. The 21-year-old native Chicago beauty has what it takes to be a hit a great voice, style, and looks. After being spotted by a local agent, she was booked for her first major role which came in an Oprah Winfrey series for ABC. This was an important undertaking, as it lead to an audition for the Disney Channel's #Mickey Mouse Club resulting in her becoming a full-fledged %Mousekateer. #The Mickey Mouse Club has spawned such names such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and she is a close friend of 'N Sync's Justin Timberlake. After four years as a %Mousekateer, Bennett moved to California and worked on building her acting career, which lead to guest spots with Martin Lawrence on #Martin, #Living Single, and #The Single Guy. She starred in UPN's #Homeboys in Outer Space in 1996.
